Management Training

At Rogers, we believe in helping our employees maximize their own talents and skills. We encourage continuing education and reward those individuals who strive to reach new goals. In accordance with those principles, we have created an extensive Management Development Program that includes both classroom and field work designed to familiarize participants with every aspect of electrical project management. Upon completion of the program, individuals will be well-qualified to step into a responsible management role.

Year One
Field Training Classroom

For nine (9) months, intern will be working on a local project/jobsite.

For three (3) months, intern will be working with our Fast-Track Project Team.  This project may involve some travel. 

First Quarter
Class: Electrical 101
Start Date: TBD
End Date: TBD
Location: Rogers Electric Atlanta Office
Days: Mondays & Wednesdays
Time: 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.Dinner will be provided
Trainer: In-House Trainer

Second Quarter
Class: Blue Print Analysis
Class: Understanding Design: Electrical, Structural & Architectural

Year Two
Field Training Classroom

For six (6) months, intern will be a part of our Service Team. This will involve being assigned to one of our Service Technicians and assisting him on his daily service calls.

For three (3) months, intern will be located in our Call Center.

For three (3) months, intern will take on the role of a Dispatcher in the Call Center.

First Quarter
Class: Accounting and Finance Combined with Code 1

Basic knowledge of accounting
Basic Electrical Code

Second Quarter
Class: Electrical 201

Switchgear, Panels, Generators, Transformers, Service Feeding, Multi-Phase Circuits

Year Three
Field Training Classroom

For four (4) months, intern will be trained in our Estimating Division.

For eight (8) months, intern will be assigned to a commercial project/jobsite in the role of “Assistant Foreman” role.

First Quarter
Class: Contract Management Project Management

Logistics, Labor & Material Management, Shipping, Scheduling

Third Quarter
Class: Electrical Code II

Preparation for State Masters License
